Last updated: July 2026
1. Introduction
Welcome to Backcountry Home Services LLC. These Terms of Use govern your use of our website and the services we provide. By accessing our website or engaging our services, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use our website or services.
2. Scope of Services
Backcountry Home Services LLC provides home remodeling and repair services including but not limited to: drywall installation and repair, minor plumbing, interior and exterior painting, fencing installation and repair, and deck repair and restoration. All services are provided within the state of Utah. Specific project scopes, timelines, and pricing will be outlined in individual service agreements or estimates provided to the customer.
3. Estimates & Pricing
All estimates provided by Backcountry Home Services LLC are valid for 30 days from the date of issuance unless otherwise stated. Estimates are based on the information available at the time of inspection. If unforeseen conditions are discovered during the course of work (e.g., hidden water damage, structural issues, or code compliance requirements), we will notify the customer and provide a revised estimate before proceeding. Pricing does not include applicable taxes unless explicitly stated.
4. Payment Terms
Payment terms will be specified in the service agreement for each project. Generally, a deposit may be required to secure scheduling, with the remaining balance due upon completion and customer satisfaction. We accept major credit cards, checks, and electronic payments. Late payments may be subject to additional fees as outlined in the service agreement.
5. Cancellation & Rescheduling
Customers may cancel or reschedule service appointments with at least 24 hours' notice without penalty. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice may result in a cancellation fee. We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule appointments due to weather conditions, supplier issues, or other circumstances beyond our control. In such cases, we will make every effort to reschedule at the customer's earliest convenience.
6. Liability
Backcountry Home Services LLC is fully licensed and insured. We take every precaution to protect your property during the course of our work. However, we are not liable for pre-existing conditions, latent defects, or damages resulting from the normal wear and tear of materials. Our liability is limited to the value of the services provided. Any claims must be reported within 7 days of project completion. We reserve the right to inspect and remedy any reported issues before considering further action.
7. Customer Responsibilities
Customers agree to provide safe and reasonable access to the work area, ensure that utilities are functional where required, and disclose any known issues or concerns about the property before work begins. Customers are responsible for obtaining any necessary permits or approvals from homeowner associations (HOAs) unless otherwise agreed in writing. We are not liable for delays caused by customer failure to meet these responsibilities.
8. Privacy
We respect your privacy. Any personal information collected through our website or during the course of our services — including names, addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, and project details — is used solely for the purpose of providing our services and communicating with you. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties except as required by law or with your explicit consent. We may use aggregated, anonymized data for business analysis and marketing purposes.

10. Dispute Resolution
In the event of a dispute arising from our services, both parties agree to first attempt to resolve the matter through good-faith negotiation. If the dispute cannot be resolved informally, it shall be submitted to mediation in the state of Utah before any legal action is taken. Any legal proceedings shall be conducted in the courts of Salt Lake County, Utah. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah.
